Pastors Philip and Mary Amandola are the senior pastors of The Life Church, a rapidly growing local church of 250 members in Bloomington, IN. Prior to full-time ministry, Pastor Amandola was a New York City Police Officer for 19 years. In 1980 he gave his heart to Jesus Christ at a full gospel businessmen's meeting. He retired from the New Your city police department in September of 1981. In 1982 he became part of a full-time teaching staff at Love Christian Academy. He quickly was promoted by the Lord to guidance counselor, assistant principal, church elder, Care Pastor, and then Associate Pastor. Pastor Amandola and his wife Mary actively served God's people in their New York church, overseeing a multitude of ministries, as well as family and individual counseling. In 1993 they answered the call of God to come to Indiana and pastor the members of The Life Church.

Pastor Amandola, along with his wife Mary, have made a tremendous impact on restoring and building-up marriages and families. God has gifted Pastor Philip with much wisdom (primarily through his own experiences and through counseling) and anointed him to minister to couples and individuals. His heart is for restoration and strengthening of the family. In maintaining this course, he has initiated the development of a counseling ministry at The Life Church. Their goal is to see restoration through healing the wounded and broken-hearted by the Spirit of God.

In recent years, the Lord has utilized pastor Phil to initiate and develop a fellowship of local pastors in the Bloomington area-"Greater Bloomington Christian Ministerial Association." In addition, he reaches out to the community through his involvement with local outreach ministries, and through his role as chaplain with the Indiana University police department.

God has also opened missionary doors for Pastor Phil. He is oversees the "Life Church" in Lupon Philippines. In addition, he has traveled to Hungary and Bulgaria, Romania, Haiti and teaching in many churches and bible schools throughout the world. Pastor Amandola is also part of ministers fellowship international in Portland, OR.

Pastor Phil and his wife Mary have been married for over 50 years with 4 children, 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Together they are building, guiding, shepherding, and caring for the members of their local church.

Pastor Amandola is a true servant of the Lord, a man of integrity and strong Christian convictions. He bears an anointing for healing and deliverance and flows in the prophetic. He is a great teacher of God's principles and always brings the Word of the Lord when he ministers.
